Autoways Industries Sdn Bhd Joint Venture

Chairman of Sun Tyre Industries Sdn Bhd Mr.Loh Moi Sung who is also the Chairman of Sun Rubber Industry Sdn Bhd and Director of Autoways Marketing Sdn Bhd Mr.Chua Kon Thong have come to an Agreement to form a newly Joint Venture company namely Autoways Industries Sdn Bhd as marketing arm to sell premium grade retreaded tyres in Malaysia.

The Chairman of Sun Tyre Industries Sdn Bhd and Director of Autoways Marketing Sdn Bhd have met at No: 53, Senawang Industrial Estate, 70450, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus. at 10:30 pm on 04th July 2007 to pen their signature together for the Joint Venture arrangement.

The day began with signing ceremony followed by speech from Sun Tyre Industries Sdn Bhd Chairman Mr.Loh Moi Sung and followed by the speech from Mr.Chua Kon Thong, Director of Autoways Marketing Sdn Bhd.

In his speech, Mr.Loh said that with the joint venture, he urged those customers who has been using Autoways brand for the past years to continue the support and Mr. Loh Moi Sung is fully committed to ensure that “Autoways” brand will continue in the market and the joint venture company will also commit to produce higher quality retread tyres and services to all its customers.

Mr Loh Moi Sung said in his speech “Autoways” brand name has been well reputed within and outside Malaysia and is also one of the leading brand name for tyre retreading industries.

As for Sun Tyre Industries Sdn Bhd, the company is also well reputable in the tyre retreading industries. The company is one of the pioneer in the tyre retreading since 1957 and has over 50 years of history in tyre retreading.

Sun Tyre presently market its retread tyres under two brand names namely “SUNTEX” and recently “WINNER”. With the newly joint venture company with “AUTOWAYS”, the company ensure to provide a series of higher quality retread tyres to the Malaysian market.

Sun Tyre is also 1st in Malaysia to be awarded the MS 224:2005 Product Certification Licence which is accredited by SIRIM. The benefit of the Product Certification promises an assurance of the products being manufactured under severe effective system of supervision, control and testing and it also ensure the users safety and reliability.

Sun Tyre has also won several other awards, such as SMB Brand Excellance Award 2006 organized by ( SMI ) Small and Medium Industries and the core organizer for this event is Sin Chew Daily and the independent auditor is Howart.

SMB Brand Excellance Award is bestowed on non-listed SMBs which have successfully created a strong and positive image for branding initiatives on the company, products and services.

In Year 2005, the Sun Tyre product name has been awarded the Best Brand name by ( Malaysian Rubber Board ) MRB and also the Golden Bull Award 2005 for being one of 100 companies outstanding SMEs.

Sun Rubber Industry Sdn Bhd sister company of Sun Tyre Industries Sdn Bhd who is also one of the leading rubber compound producer in the Asia Region now is also the sole supplier for its retread materials to the newly joint venture operation in Malaysia.
